Some employers cover PAM for their people and their families, as a staff benefit. If yours is one of them, you can activate your membership yourself in a couple of minutes using your work email. In the app this is called PAM for Staff, and you'll find it in your Settings.
This article covers how to activate your membership, what happens if something goes wrong, what your employer can and can't see, and what to do when your employer's cover ends. If you're a business wanting to offer PAM to your team, skip to the bottom.
š Your account is yours. Your employer pays for it, and that's where their involvement stops. They have no access to your account, your calendar, or any of your data.
Before you start
You need to have signed up for PAM and be on a Trial or Free plan.
You'll need your work email address, the one at your employer's domain.
You need to be the account owner. The membership covers your whole household, so it's claimed once, by whoever owns the PAM account.
You can't be on a paid plan already. If you are, see the FAQ below.
How to activate your membership
Open the PAM app and go to Settings.
Tap PAM for Staff.
Enter your work email and tap Check if my employer covers PAM.
If your employer is covered, you'll be asked a few quick questions. They take under a minute, and your answers are never shared with your employer, we use them to understand how much PAM is helping.
Tap Send verification email.
Check your work inbox for a 6-digit code and type it into the app.
That's it. Your membership activates, usually within a moment.
Once it's done you'll see You're all set, with who provides your membership and the date it's valid until.
š Note: Your code works for 72 hours.
What your household gets
A staff membership covers your whole household, exactly like a paid plan. Everyone you've added to your PAM account gets the full set of features, and you only claim it once.
Your family don't need work emails, and they don't need to do anything at all. Once you've activated, it's on for everyone.
What your employer can see
Nothing about your account.
They cannot see:
Your calendar, events, tasks or notes
Your household members or anything about your family
Anything you send to PAM, or anything PAM creates for you
Your survey answers
They know only how many of the memberships they've paid for have been claimed. Your account belongs to you, and it stays yours.
If it doesn't work
"We couldn't find a PAM for Staff membership for that email"
Your employer isn't signed up, or you've used a different address. Check you've entered your work email exactly, then try again. If you think your employer is signed up, email [email protected].
"All of [employer]'s PAM memberships have been claimed"
Your employer bought a set number and they've all gone. Email [email protected] and we'll help, and it's worth asking your employer about adding more.
"Only the account owner can claim a membership"
The membership covers the whole household, so it's claimed by whoever owns the PAM account. Ask them to do it in their Settings, and everyone is covered.
"You already have a PAM plan"
You're on a paid plan already. Cancel it first, and once it runs out you can come back and claim your staff membership. The app shows you the date.
"[Employer] starts offering PAM on [date]"
Their cover hasn't started yet. Come back on that date.
The code didn't arrive
Give it a minute, then tap Resend email. Check your spam or junk folder, and if your work inbox filters outside senders, look there too. Still nothing? Email [email protected].
"Too many wrong codes"
Wait a while, then start again from your work email and we'll send a fresh one.
When your employer's cover ends
Your membership runs until the date shown under Valid until in Settings ā PAM for Staff. It never runs past the end of your employer's agreement with us.
When it ends, you can either pay for PAM yourself or move to PAM Free. Nothing is deleted either way, your calendar, tasks and notes all stay exactly as they are, and on the free plan some features are simply locked rather than lost. If you subscribe later, everything is there waiting.
š” If you change jobs, your PAM account goes with you. It's yours, not your employer's. If your new employer offers PAM too, you can claim a membership with your new work email once your current cover ends.
Frequently asked questions
Does my family need work emails too?
No. You claim once with your work email, and your whole household is covered.
Can I use my personal email to claim the benefit?
No, it has to be your work email, because that's how we confirm you work there.
Will my employer know I signed up?
They can see how many memberships have been claimed in total, but nothing about your account or your data.
What happens to the questions I answer?
They help us understand how much PAM improves everyday life. We might share aggregate insights with your employer so they can see how PAM is helping their team, but we'll never share individual responses.
I'm already paying for PAM. Can I switch?
Yes. Cancel your current plan first, then claim your staff membership once it ends. The app shows you the date to come back.
Can I claim for two households?
No. One work email covers one household.
What if I leave the company?
Your PAM account stays yours. Your membership may end when your employer's cover does, and you can pay for PAM yourself or move to PAM Free.
How do I know it worked?
Go to Settings ā PAM for Staff. You'll see who provides your membership, your work email, and the date it's valid until.
If you are a business
PAM for Business lets you cover PAM for your people and their families, as a staff benefit.
The juggle doesn't stop at the office door. Appointments, school runs, permission slips and birthday presents all take up room in your team's heads during the working day. PAM takes that admin off their shoulders, and covering it for them is a practical, visible way to support the people you want to keep.
How it works:
You choose how many memberships you'd like to cover, and for how long.
We invoice you directly, there's nothing for your team to pay, and no app store involved.
Anyone with a work email at your domain activates their own membership in the app, so there's no list to maintain and no admin for your HR team.
Each membership covers that person's whole household, not just them.
You see how many memberships have been claimed, and nothing about anyone's personal data. That matters to your people, and we're strict about it.
