Sometimes it’s easier to speak than type. Whether you’re in the middle of the morning rush, out walking the dog or walking into your next work meeting, you can simply tell PAM what’s on your mind using your voice. PAM will process your voice recording and turn it into events or events, just like magic 💜

This feature is part of PAM’s Braindump, a space where you can quickly offload anything on your mind by typing, sending a photo or screenshot, or using your voice. PAM will sort through it and turn your thoughts into tasks, events, or reminders.

How to tell PAM what's on your mind

Option 1: In the PAM App

  1. Open the PAM app.

  2. Tap 💬 PAM in the bottom menu.

  3. Tap and hold the Microphone icon.

  4. Record your voice memo.

  5. Release to send.

Option 2: Send a voice note via Whatsapp

  1. Open your Whatsapp app.

  2. Open your direct message with PAM (Personal Admin Manager).

  3. Tap and hold the Microphone icon.

  4. Record your voice memo.

  5. Release to send.

That's it 🪄

PAM will handle the rest – PAM will:

  • Automatically process the content of your voice message

  • Create calendar events and smart tasks – just like magic 🪄

Each item with the PAM logo, so it’s easy to spot what PAM created and the original voice content will be attached to the event or task for reference.

Examples of messages PAM loves to help with:

You can tell PAM things like:

  • “We’ve got Leo’s soccer game at 10am this Saturday. It's our turn to bring the oranges. We need to pick up his friend Toby on the way.”

  • “Dentist appointment for Ava on Tuesday at 3:30pm in town. Remind me the day before.”

  • "Buy a gift for Mum’s birthday, it’s on the 14th August.”

  • “Book school holiday program for the kids in the term 3 holidays. Add reminder to go to the supermarket and collect cream, chicken, pasta.”

  • “Meeting with Sarah and Jess for coffee on Monday after school drop-off. Remind James he's on school pick up this week, don't forget I need to pay the internet bill on the 20th.”

PAM will pull out the event and task details and get everything sorted.

PAM can listen to:

  • Languages: Just English at the moment, we're looking to add more in the future. Remember to talk slowly and clearly for best results.

  • Up to 5 minutes of audio in one voice note

  • PAM does best with short, clear thoughts, no need to overthink it.

Common questions

Can I use dictation or voice-to-text instead of a voice note to talk to PAM?

Yes! You can use your phone’s dictation feature in the PAM Braindump feature as an alternative to sending a voice note.

On both iPhone and Android, you’ll see a microphone icon on your keyboard. Tap it to speak, your phone will transcribe your voice into text directly into the Braindump field.

This is a great option if you prefer speaking but don’t want to send a voice memo.
