If your task details have changed, you can edit it directly in PAM so everyone stays updated.

How to edit a PAM task

You can edit tasks that you’ve created, or ones PAM has created for you.

  1. Open your PAM app.

  2. Tap Tasks in the bottom menu.

  3. Find and tap the task you want to edit.

  4. Tap Edit in the top right corner.

  5. Update the task details as needed:

    • Title – The task name e.g. “Book flights to Auckland for March” or “Book flights to Auckland for April”

    • Due date – When the task needs to be completed

    • Repeat – Choose if the task repeats daily, weekly, monthly, etc.

    • Location – Add where you need to go (e.g. “Post office box” or “123 Bond Street”)

    • Notes – Add any extra info or reminders

  6. Tap Add owner (optional):

    • Select a member to assign the task to

    • Leave it blank to add the task to everyone

  7. Tap Save.

Your changes will update instantly for everyone who can see the task.

Where will my updated task appear?

  • In the Task List View

  • If it has a due date → shown in the “With due date” section

  • If no date → shown in the “Without due date” section

  • If assigned to someone → in their colour

  • If for everyone → in grey

Examples of when you might need to edit a task

  • Due date moves → e.g. “Return library books” now due next week

  • Details change → e.g. location for “Pick up cake” changes to a new bakery

  • You need to make it more specific → e.g. “Buy present” becomes “Buy Lego set for Jack’s birthday”

  • You’ve got extra info to add → e.g. list of groceries, phone numbers, or reminders

  • You want it to repeat → e.g. “Put the rubbish bin out” repeats every Wednesday night or "Power bill due" repeats on the 29th of every month.

Common question:

Why don’t all my future recurring tasks appear right away?
If you create a recurring task, e.g. “Clean car every Sunday”, PAM will only show the 'next' upcoming task. Once you complete this Sunday’s task, PAM will then create the task for the following Sunday.

This is designed to prevent multiple copies of the same task from sitting overdue if you don’t mark them complete. When you finishing one task, PAM will add the next task for the following date automatically.
